Nickel Coating
Nickel Coatings offer enhanced level of corrosion resistance, particularly in chemically corrosive and marine environments. Generally speaking they are able to perform at high temperatures and may be used in telecommunications applications due to their Non-Magnetic properties. HVOF is an additive process and as such Nickel Coatings can be used to repair damage and worn areas on Nickel Based Components. Nickel Coatings can replace Monel for corrosion applications that need a combination of good machinability with higher hardness.
Inconel
As an ‘exotic’ and hard metal, Inconel is expensive to source and will take more time to machine, making production costs higher. Using the HVOF process to coat using Inconel we are able to give a component the attributes of the metal, without the price. Our Inconel Coating is in fact a Nickel-Chromium Super Alloy with very similar characteristics to Inconel 718 or Inconel 625. It can perform to extremely high temperatures and affords excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance properties.
Nickel Chromium Alloys
Nickel and Chrome is a combination often popular in electro-plating for the automotive industry. In these application known as ‘Bright Chrome’ the Nickel serves as a protective barrier and provides a smooth surface for a small amount of Chromium which increases hardness and also creates a more decorative finish. Nickel-Chromium Alloys applied through HVOF are used in to prevent scaling of carbon and low alloy steels. They have a very clean structure with a high hardness value and can resist hot oxidising and corrosive gases. This makes them ideal for chemical industry application
Nickel Aluminium Alloys
Nickel-Aluminium Coatings provide a dense machinable coating that is resistant to oxidation and abrasion. It’s suitable for the build-up and repair of many corrosion resistant grades of Steel and can perform at high temperatures up to 650 Degrees Celsius.
